Produced in collaboration with Chinese agency Relay, this high-energy TVC showcases Garmin’s VIVO line of smartwatches. Shot on location in Brisbane, the video pairs sleek cinematography with a lifestyle-driven narrative tailored for the Chinese market. IPER managed the entire local production, blending fitness, fashion, and functionality into one seamless story.
This international project was a long time in the making, requiring close coordination with Chinese creative agency Relay. We developed location options, talent packages, and production timelines to align with both local Australian logistics and international client expectations. From casting athletic and fashion-forward talent to mapping out a narrative structure across scenes, the pre-production phase was meticulous and collaborative.
Filmed across multiple Brisbane locations, the shoot captured a wide range of lifestyle scenarios—fitness training, city commutes, social settings—all centred around Garmin’s VIVO smartwatch. We focused on clean, aspirational visuals that conveyed energy and elegance, helping the product sit naturally within aspirational daily routines. The crew worked efficiently to maximise natural light and movement across each scene, maintaining a high-end aesthetic throughout.
The final commercial was delivered for distribution across mainland China, serving as part of a broader campaign to boost Garmin's profile in international markets. Post-production was handled to meet the client's global standards, with a polished, cinematic finish that reflects both the brand’s premium positioning and IPER’s production quality. This collaboration demonstrated the strength of cross-cultural production when powered by creative alignment and on-ground expertise.
