QBCC asked us to create a video to help homeowners understand and trust the new QBCC digital licence used by construction workers. We filmed a presenter in a cyclorama studio and then added motion graphics in post to highlight key messages and show how easy it is to verify a contractor’s licence.
To help the Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) build trust between tradies and homeowners, we produced a hybrid live-action and motion graphics video promoting the new QBCC digital licence. The piece speaks directly to homeowners, showing how simple it is to check a contractor’s credentials and why the digital licence is an important safeguard when choosing who to let onto their property.

We filmed a presenter delivering a friendly, informative piece to camera in a cyclorama studio, creating a clean and focused base for the message. In post, our designers layered on motion graphics, UI-style callouts and animated highlights to explain how the digital licence works, guide viewers through the verification steps, and keep everything aligned with QBCC branding.

The production was designed for efficiency, with a quarter-day studio shoot followed by 1 to 2 days of motion design and compositing. The result is a sharp, engaging explainer that helps homeowners recognise and trust the QBCC digital licence, while giving construction professionals a modern, credible way to validate themselves.

Tell us about your goals, and we’ll craft a video strategy to help you stand out in a crowded market.
