One of two ads created for CleverDIY, Australia’s go-to brand for engaging, hands-on kids’ activities. This subscription-focused video blends bright motion graphics with live action to showcase how CleverDIY makes learning creative, mess-free, and seriously fun. Filmed with real kids and families, the ad highlights the joy of opening a CleverDIY box and the magic that unfolds from it.
We worked closely with the CleverDIY team to develop a concept that balanced fun and clarity—explaining the subscription service while also capturing the excitement of DIY play. Casting energetic kids and sourcing a family-friendly location helped build the warm, playful tone. Our pre-production also included scripting, storyboarding, and designing the graphic treatment to integrate with the live action.
Filmed over a one-day shoot, the ad features families receiving and building their CleverDIY kits. We captured real reactions and interactions to highlight the educational and entertainment value. The shoot was timed to get natural daylight for a warm, bright aesthetic, aligning with the product's appeal to parents and kids alike.
In post-production, we added cheerful motion graphics to visually explain the subscription model and key product features. The final edit is fast-paced, clear, and full of energy—perfect for social media and digital advertising. It’s helped CleverDIY strengthen its brand as the ultimate go-to for creative kids’ activities across Australia.
